FAQs

What is (DTF) direct to film?

Direct to film is a new technology that allows us to print designs onto special films called polyethylene terephthalate (PET) using water based pigment inks. Once your design has been printed and cured, the printed design can then be transferred to the desired garment using a heat press or iron.

What is the largest transfer size available?

Currently, 12.8in wide x 20in long is the largest printable area size available.

How long do email response times take?

Please allow 24-48hrs for email responses. Excluding weekends.

How to apply transfer to substrate?

Heat press is preferred, but an iron can be used. Press transfer at 305 degrees for 30 seconds using parchment paper over the image. Let image cool for 30 seconds before peeling. COLD PEEL IS A MUST, if not your image will not stick and will ruin.

Press image again with parchment paper for 15 seconds after cold peel if you want added quality and adhesion.

What are the file requirements for DTF?

Your image must be in PNG or JPEG format, otherwise enlarging the image will result in loss of resolution. For the best results, we recommend that images be submitted in 300 DPI. This resolution has the most HD realistic image print, and allows us to correct the image, and size if necessary.

What does DTF feel like?

Can be thin or thick depending on the size of the design. Feels soft and stretchable like vinyl. This is not HTV, but has a vinyl like feel.

What substrate can you press on?

Cotton, polyester, leather, nylon, silk, wool, wood, metal, glass, stainless steel, luggage, shoes, and endless possibilities.

Washability?

30+ washes without any cracking, fading, or peeling. AS LONG AS you applied the correct heat, pressure, and time while applying transfer film.

Wash inside out with cold water and "alike" colors.

DO NOT Iron directly on the design after application
